Any Corona virus variant symptoms.
Handling and Training:
I use positive, reward- based training. Respect and kindness are key to developing a trusting relationship between you, and your puppy or dog. I will not accept any aversive methods i.e. physical punishment nor equipment designed to be aversive e.g. prong, spray, or e-collars, choke chains, or any other equipment which I feel is detrimental to the health and well-being of the puppy or dog who are taking part in the classes.
Health and Wellbeing of Dogs and Puppies:
If you feel your puppy or dog may struggle in a classroom environment please phone or email me before booking so we can discuss how we can both help your puppy or dog.
It is the responsibility of the owner(s) to make sure their puppies and dogs are protected against disease i.e. vaccination, titre testing, and external parasites e.g. fleas.
Please do not bring your puppy/dog if he/she shows signs of being unwell eg: off food/drink, diarrhoea/sickness or has had contact with a contagious disease e.g., kennel cough. Bitches in season cannot attend classes.
Should your dog not be able to attend with you, you are more than welcome to come and watch that session.
Please let me know in advance if your puppy/ dog has any medical conditions e.g. allergies.
Please do not share rewards with other dogs/puppies as they may have allergies to certain foods e.g. dairy.
Observing the Rules during Training:
Please wear appropriate flat footwear for the venue, no flip flops.
A collar and tag must be worn by all dogs/puppies – this is the law.
Any harness worn by your dog should not hinder their natural movement and should be fitted correctly.
No slip or flexi leads to be used in these classes / sessions – please ensure you have a long enough lead so your puppy/dog can walk with a loose lead.
When entering the hall/ paddock, please ensure you have control of your dog/puppy and do not allow them to have direct contact with other puppies/dogs.
You are responsible for your dog and their behaviour at all times.
Please ensure you have enough motivational 'rewards' for example, cheese, sausage, chicken.
*Children are welcome, however those under the age of ten years old need to be accompanied by another adult. If they wish, they can bring a quiet activity with them.
Please note, that in the unlikely event that any children are continually disruptive during a class/ paddock session, despite parental intervention, the trainer reserves the right to ask that they do not attend further sessions.
Please do not let any children interact with dogs who are not a family member while the class is in session. There may be opportunities for them during the course to be introduced and to interact with the rest of the class. Please be aware you are fully responsible for the actions of any children you bring with you.
