Training with Kindness

1:1 SESSIONS

Aimed at guardians who may wish to have singular sessions rather than a course. This may suit a situation where their puppy/dog needs support to refresh their skills, and/ where management may be the only requirement at that time.

• Training /management will be based on "observation" on the first 1:1 visit.
• Each dog has their own pace of learning, so an ongoing assessment is always in place to monitor their progress should there be more than one session.
• Sessions can then be tailored to suit the needs of the individual puppy/dog enabling them to succeed with the support of guardians.
•  Bespoke hand outs and feedback are given after each session with additional documentation, if required.
•  Email and phone support is included too

          Price: £ 60.00 per hour ( or part there of)

1:1 PUPPY COURSE

• A 1:1 course for those who feel more comfortable on this basis, rather than a class environment.
• This five session course is designed for puppies from ten weeks to six months meaning you can start after your puppy's first vaccination within your home environment. 
• looking at those areas which you need help with.
• understanding how your puppy communicates.
• how to help 'reset' your puppy when they are struggling.
• Basic skills will /can be covered, for example, meet and greet , loose lead walking, recall, settle, wait, leave, and stay in position. 
• Sessions are 10-14 days apart to ensure both puppy and guardian are confident with each skill, and at a pace that is acceptable to both puppy and guardian. I have found completing the course within a 3 month period works well for both puppy and guardian.
• Assessments will be ongoing to ensure each session works for your puppy and you.
• Enjoy learning how to help your puppy to succeed.
• This course will also look at body language, observing how your puppy moves and interacts with their environment . This will help you to identify what works for your puppy.
• Bespoke hand outs and feedback are given after each session with additional documentation, if required. Email and phone support is included too.
• Duration- depends on individual puppy and the amount of time they need to pause, rehydrate, during skills training. No longer than 1- 1.5 hour.

1:1 ADOLESCENT /ADULT COURSE

• A 1:1 course for those who feel more comfortable on this basis, rather than a class environment.
• This course will be tailored to suit your dog's needs. Suitable for puppies and dogs from six months to maturity.
• For those adolescents who may need support with a particular part of their life which they find challenging due to the physical and mental developments they are going through. For example, loose lead walking,  recall, interacting with their environment, or who may need their confidence restored with every day life.
•  For those adult dogs who are also struggling with their environment and/ need to refresh basic skills.
• Five sessions with a gap of 10-14 days between sessions to give both of you space and time to practise.
• Assessments will be ongoing to ensure each session works for your adolescent or adult dog and you.
• Bespoke hand outs and feedback are given after each session with additional documentation, if required. Email and phone support is included too.
• Duration- may vary due to adolescence's/ adult life experience. Usually 1- 1.5 hour.
• Consideration is given as to the length of this course due to 'natural' events i.e., a dog being in season. Please note that some dogs may need to refresh skills learnt to date in these situations.

 Price: £ 200.00 

TRAINING / BUILDING SELF CONFIDENCE WALKS  

• Individual or Small group. 
• Designed to build confidence in young or older dogs who are struggling with their environment as they cope with major changes. These can be mental, physical, or family dynamic changes.
• The group will be involved with parallel walking, meet and greet manners, being able to remain calm when moving around and near other young dogs, adults, and moving traffic. All interaction will be taken at the individual dogs pace to maintain confidence and trust.
• Weekly meetings are on offer and at various locations dependant on group dynamics. 
• Assessments will be ongoing to ensure each session works for your puppy and you.
• Verbal feedback will be given at the end of the session with additional documentation, if required. Email and phone support is included too.
• Duration- will vary due to dogs life experience but no longer than an hour.
• To participate, I would like you to have at least one 1:1 session, to assess, and refresh basic skills so the young or older dog is in a position to participate successfully within the group.

          Price: £25.00 per session.
